This dedication to investment has led to Baxi creating a flagship training facility in Warrington, which was officially opened recently by the town’s Mayor.
Baxi has invested more than a quarter of a million pounds in creating the state-of-the-art training facility, which includes a dedicated classroom area and fully-equipped adjoining practical workshop. A new trainer has been appointed to work full-time at the training centre as demand increases.
Steve Owen is the National Training Manager for Baxi and said in his opening speech that the company had “made a number of changes to our training offering over the past year, working with heating engineers to make sure our courses are the best they can be”. He went on to say that these changes included the introduction of “more hands-on learning” and were supported by the investment in Warrington.
Owen believes that heating engineers who take advantage of the services offered at Baxi’s new training centre will “feel more confident when servicing and installing heating systems for their customers” thanks to the “even better quality” of training provided. Cllr Ted Finnegan, Mayor of Warrington, welcomed the training centre to the area, stating his belief that: “accessible, quality training is of vital importance.. dedicated centres like this one make all the difference to small businesses and help to ensure skills are passed down from generation to generation."
